Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper in Columbia, South Carolina. In this in-person role, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll efficiently and ensure accurate reporting.

- Manage accounts payable by entering and paying bills promptly.

- Prepare and issue invoices for less complex transactions.

- Open new job numbers and maintain accurate records within the accounting system.

- Utilize Sage accounting software to enter and track financial data.

- Assist with bank reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.

- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to support overall financial operations.

- Provide support during audits and reviews as needed.

- Adapt to additional responsibilities as the role evolves

Requirements - Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and basic accounting principles.

- Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Sage preferred.

- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

- Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role is advantageous.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an in-person environment.
