Job Summary The Award Setup Post Award Accountant Perform reviews of sponsored awards to ensure accurate and timely award setup and modification in the financial system and compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements. Provide guidance and technical assistance in the management of sponsored awards.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories, and terminology of accounting, budgeting, and fiscal management.

- Knowledge of the principles of grant management and reporting.

- Knowledge of federal and state fiscal accounting processes.

- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, reports, and contract terms and conditions.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

- Ability to communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- People Soft or other ERP experience
- Higher education experience
- Audit experience
- Sponsored award and/or contract accounting experience
