Job Title
Construction and Renovation Specialist
Job DescriptionResponsible for construction and renovation of existing and new SCDC facilities. Must have an extensive working knowledge of principles and techniques of building codes and be able to read blueprints. Responsible for the supervision of an inmate work crew. Knowledge of metal building erection and forming and pouring concrete. Position may require overtime and participation in on-call rotation. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
Minimumand Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma and trades experience related to the area of employment.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma and five (5) years of experience in all phases of construction field with knowledge of South Carolina Procurement Regulations.
