Job Summary
Program Coordinator for Faculty Development The Program Coordinator for Faculty Development leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of faculty development initiatives that support more than 300 instructors teaching UNIV courses, including University 101, 201, and 401. This position works closely with instructors who teach first-year students and plays an important role in shaping the overall student experience. This role is central to strengthening and advancing the quality of instruction across the program.
Primary Duties include
* Plan and manage faculty development initiatives including Teaching Experience Workshops, Course Planning Workshops, Building Connections Conference, Summer Workshops, faculty meetings, colleague clusters, and related programs.
* Develop comprehensive timelines and agendas.
* Oversee preparation of materials, supplies, and handouts.
* Coordinate attendance tracking, event registrations, food orders, and room reservations.
* Provide individualized guidance and consultation to University 101 and related course instructors throughout the summer and fall terms.
* Support instructors in improving classroom instruction, engagement strategies, and overall teaching experience.
* Coordinate instructor recognition efforts to ensure instructors feel informed, supported, and valued.
* Maintain and update instructor-facing technology platforms to ensure accuracy and accessibility of information.
* Assist the Associate Director with the coordination of the Graduate Leader Program.
* Coordinate the information session, communication with eligible students, collection of application materials, and schedule interviews.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching a first-year seminar. May graduates will be considered if they will be able to obtain their degree by the date of employment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Excellent research/report-writing skills. Demonstrated ability to interact well with different university constituencies, including faculty, staff, administrators, and students. Demonstrated leadership approach stressing team-building and collaboration. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to make sound decisions. Knowledge of training delivery methods, including active learning and discussion.
Ability to stimulate and facilitate individuals and groups in the learning process, ability to plan and manage projects and self-directed work groups.
