CFO - Chief Financial Officer

Description We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. This long-term contract position is ideal for a financial leader with a strong background in higher education institutions and a proven ability to oversee complex financial operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring the organization's financial stability and long-term growth.

- Oversee cash flow management to maintain proper liquidity and meet operational needs.

- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reports.

- Manage capital resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation for institutional priorities.

- Supervise month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Implement and oversee business systems to enhance organizational efficiency and financial accuracy.

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

- Utilize expertise in Jenzabar systems to streamline financial operations and reporting processes.

- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with institutional objectives.

- Monitor and evaluate financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges. Requirements - Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within higher education institutions.

- Proficiency in cash flow analysis and capital management.

- Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes with precision.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting practices and standards.

- Familiarity with business systems and their integration into financial operations.

- Expertise in using Jenzabar systems is highly preferred.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
