Senior Underwriting & Credit Risk Analyst

CGI is seeking a seasoned Senior Underwriting & Credit Risk Analyst with deep experience in multifamily commercial real estate finance and agency lending. This role will independently review multifamily origination and servicing activities for compliance, underwriting quality, credit risk, and lender contractual obligations. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!.

This role is located at a client site in either Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL, or Columbia, SC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

CGI is seeking a seasoned Senior Underwriting & Credit Risk Analyst with deep experience in multifamily commercial real estate finance and agency lending. This role will independently review multifamily origination and servicing activities for compliance, underwriting quality, credit risk, and lender contractual obligations. The individual will evaluate loan and underwriting documentation, identify material lender breaches, assess potential financial and default risk, and recommend appropriate remedies.

This position requires strong business judgment and the ability to work directly with senior internal stakeholders and external lenders.

Key Responsibilities:

. Perform independent multifamily origination and servicing breach reviews. . Evaluate underwriting and loan documentation for Guide compliance, credit risk, and prudent lending practices.. Assess lender breaches for materiality, potential default exposure, and financial impact.. Recommend appropriate remedies to address lender performance and mitigate financial risk.. Collaborate and negotiate with lenders and senior stakeholders regarding breach findings and remedies.. Apply sound credit and business judgment to complex multifamily lending situations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:. 8+ years of multifamily commercial real estate finance, underwriting, credit risk, or asset management experience.. Deep knowledge of multifamily underwriting and credit analysis. . Strong experience with the DUS (Delegated Underwriting and Servicing) platform/program.. Working knowledge of agency multifamily lending guidelines and lender contractual obligations.. Ability to evaluate complex loan files and underwriting documentation for compliance and credit risk.

. Strong understanding of multifamily origination, servicing, loan performance, and default risk.. Experience identifying material underwriting or lender breaches and recommending appropriate remedies.. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including working directly with lenders.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.. Prior experience with a major housing finance agency, agency multifamily platform, or DUS lender is strongly preferred. Desired Skillset:
Candidates should have significant experience in multifamily underwriting, asset management, credit risk, or comparable commercial real estate finance roles.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $.
