Experience:
1 year of strong cardiac ICU experience, either in Critical Care or similar units.
License:
Must possess a valid nursing license.
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
- Experience with advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, and IABP.
- Capability to manage cardiac and medical intensive care patients.
- Experience in post-cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and sheath removal.
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring.
- Familiarity with managing dysrhythmias.
- Patient ratio experience of 2:1.
Description:
The position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of one year of experience in a cardiac intensive care setting.
Candidates must have a strong background in managing patients with complex cardiac diagnoses and devices.
Experience with ECMO, CRRT, and other advanced monitoring techniques is necessary.
Candidates should be capable of performing interventions and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential skills.
The nurse will manage ventilated patients and handle blood product administration and central line care.
Suctioning, IV management, and procedural sedation are part of the job requirements.
The daily workload includes caring for adults and may involve teamwork with interdisciplinary support services.
Patients may have diagnoses related to cardiac and medical intensive care.
The staffing ratio consists of two patients per nurse.
Nurses may be required to float to other units as necessary, provided they possess demonstrated competencies.
Candidates should have familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically with systems like Epic.
