About the Position
Job Opportunity – Cardiac Intensive Care RN – South Carolina

Schedule:
3 x 12-hour shifts per week with weekend coverage; 2:1 patient ratio; 72-hour orientation; standby call required (no call pay)
Highlights:
Advanced cardiac ICU focusing on complex cardiac devices including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary pacing
Cardiac and medical intensive care patients with occasional step-down overflow; experience with CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year); pre-assignment modules billable up to 16 hours
19-bed unit with daily census of 16; float to ICUs and cardiac telemetry as needed
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or strong CCU/Cardiac ICU experience required
Active RN license and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal
Proficiency with advanced cardiac devices:
Impella, IABP, ECMO, pulmonary artery lines, and TAVR
Strong skills in ventilator management, arterial blood gas interpretation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and managing multisystem organ dysfunction
Epic EMR experience (minimum 1 year) required
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Must reside 100+ miles from facility for full compensation consideration
