Business Analyst II - P&C Insurance
The Business Analyst II is an experienced professional responsible for overseeing technical projects and ensuring their successful execution. This role involves managing project deliverables, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to complex technical tasks within large-scale initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the project lead for technically focused customer initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with client requirements
- Acting as a technical consultant resource on a project team responsible for analyzing, designing, and configuring business processes
- Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to assess current capabilities and identify customer requirements
- Eliciting and documenting detailed product requirements and use cases, ensuring clarity for implementation, and developing and maintaining comprehensive business requirements to guide the project team
- Transitioning the requirements and use cases to the technical team and ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
- Managing integration projects between DCLC and core systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems
- Being comfortable using RESTful APIs, working with Microsoft Logic Apps, and writing SQL queries
- Performing other related duties and activities as required
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in an area with an analytic emphasis
- 2 - 5 years' professional experience, preferably in a similar role
- Experience interfacing with customers, including customer presentations
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience in requirements gathering, identifying gaps, estimating, implementation, test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution
- Experience translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for assembly, product, and user acceptance testing
- Experience/knowledge of Loss Control Insurance software applications
- Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for Loss Control insurance software
