Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Required education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands-on engineering
Preferred certification: AWS and/or Azure certifications preferred
Required experience knowledge abilities and skills:
- Experience in infrastructure systems engineering Dev Ops or architecture (10+ years)
- Experience in technical architecture (8+ years)
- Experience in AWS (IAM Organizations Networking Architectures Cost Mgmt. controls etc) (5+ years)
- Experience in Azure (RBAC Azure AD Networking Architectures Cost Mgmt. controls etc) (3+ years)
- Experience in enterprise cloud architecture or governance (3+ years)
- Experience in Terraform and infrastructure as a code (3+ years)
- Experience in cloud migrations and platform operations (3+ years)
- Experience in technical leadership and knowledge transfer) (3+ years)
- Public Cloud infrastructure expertise
Preferred experience knowledge abilities and skills:
- Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code understanding of scaling technologies and solutions experience with AWS or other clouds familiarity with Kubernetes Docker or other container platforms security penetration testing and threat detection tools and experience Service Now Datadog Dome9 and/or Aviatrix
- Background in Dev Ops Software Development Site Reliability or Systems Engineering
- Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment
Client needs assistance with supporting deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects. This position will be used to further develop the client Cloud Strategy, work with State agencies for adoption and support the managed cloud broker. Assist with day-to-day operations and migrations to AWS/Azure Cloud infrastructure as the organization transitions to a managed cloud broker.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform system administration automation and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP)
- Work with client and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to the client cloud infrastructure
- Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure
