Job Duties:
- The Senior Network Administrator serves as a Senior Network Administrator responsible for the technical oversight, planning, design, implementation, performance, security, and continuity of DSS's statewide enterprise network infrastructure.
- Plans, designs, implements, administers, and maintains the Agency's enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, switches, routers, structured cabling, and related technologies.
- Analyzes network performance, capacity, availability, and infrastructure requirements to identify current and future Agency needs.
- Leads statewide network infrastructure projects including office relocations, renovations, technology upgrades, equipment refreshes, and implementation of new network solutions.
- Serves as the primary technical liaison with contracted network vendors supporting access control, wireless infrastructure, video surveillance, structured cabling, and related technologies.
- Implements and maintains network security controls, safeguards Agency infrastructure and confidential information, and ensures compliance with State security requirements and protection of personally identifying information (PII).
- Develops and maintains network diagrams, floor plans, infrastructure documentation, operating procedures, disaster recovery documentation, and technical standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and
Additional Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher in information technology systems, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology systems or a related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree on a year-for-year basis.
