General Utility Helper

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

* + Must have strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting and Machine Operator experience

+ Must be able to work as a part of a team and independently

+ Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position

+ Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified

+ Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*
* + Set up and operation of various machines

+ Run material through machine according to company specifications

+ Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

+ Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

+ Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications

+ Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate

+ Inspect and maintain quality of product

+ Meet all quality and efficiency standards

+ Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines

+ Test operation of machines periodically

+ Special projects as business dictate

+ Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned

** REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:*
* + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job

+ Ability to perform all the job functions safely

** PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
* + Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling)

+ Frequently required to talk or hear

+ The employee is required to reach with hands and arms

+ The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

** WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
* + Noise level in the work environment can be at times loud

+ Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts

+ Frequently exposed to (wet, humid, other) conditions

+ Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations
