Position: 3 Die Angle and Tube Roller Operator
Who We Are:

Job Duties:
  • Prepare machine for operations. This includes arranging the rolling die and adjusting rollers to handle the correct material.
  • Maintain machine operation by solving production process problems, reporting production and quality data, reporting decisions made, referring questions to the supervisor.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by following preventive maintenance policies and procedures, reporting needed changes and repairs as needed.
  • Ability to read rolling orders, blueprints, and mill schedules to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.
  • The ability to ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards is critical
  • Adjust machine setup to ensure rolled products meet drawing tolerances
  • Measure and cutdown materials as needed to meet drawing requirements
  • Always maintain material traceability
  • Assist other pre-fabrication areas during machine downtime
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in angle or tube rolling preferred (a 3 or 4 roller press machine)
  • Experience with other heavy metal forming equipment would be helpful (angle roller, press brake, etc.)
  • Ability to make welding tacks to hold product ends together before transferring to the welding department
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings
  • Solid match skills and the ability to use tape measure, radius gauge, and other measuring tools
  • Prior use of overhead crane
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
  • Responsiveness and adaptability to changes in the work environment
  • Must understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems as they relate to fixtures and machines
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education preferred.

All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt, hourly.
