Job Details
• Located in an acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds,
• Assignment in the Cath Lab department,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM,
• On-call is required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs,
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities,
• Charting is done in Epic,
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff,
• Parking is available at no cost; garage clearance is limited to average-sized SUVs and trucks,
Job Requirements
• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active prior to start,
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS,
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required,
• EP and Cath Lab experience specifically required,
• Radiation badge required; must be provided by the candidate's agency - the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers,
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,
Additional Information
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position,
• Previous permanent or PRN staff of any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis,
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs,
• Onboarding modules are completed prior to the assignment start date,
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
