Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Required Certifications

BLS, ACLS

Required Clinical Skills

MS/Tele experience, IV starts, blood product administration, central/peripheral/PICC line management

Dysrhythmia interpretation & management, remote telemetry monitoring

Heparin protocols, Telemetry-capable care

Proficient in geriatric-focused care

Unit Details and Floating

Ratios: 1:5

Patient Population & Unit Details:
The Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit has 26 beds and provides telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older. Staffed by specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses along with nursing staff, they focus on preserving both cognitive and physical function to help patients return to their pre-admission baseline.

Floating:
While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.
