Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Night Shift)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, 4x12 hours.
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with EPIC EMR experience to provide care in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will hold current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications, along with NIH certification. A strong background in managing cardiac patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, and performing essential cardiac care is required.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage medications, including blood products, and titrate cardiac drips.
- Monitor telemetry and manage patients with cardiac conditions including STEMI, NSTEMI, and CHF.
- Conduct assessments, vital sign monitoring, and patient education.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
- Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as PPM placement and defibrillator placement.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown unit.
- 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory.
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and administer care during cardiac emergencies.
