Registered Respiratory Therapist
Seeking a motivated team player who works well with others. Weekends are required, frequency may vary, usually not more than every other weekend. RTO should be limited, and holidays will not be guaranteed. There are call requirements for the position, with up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule. Only one call shift will be scheduled in any one week. While on call for night shift, the traveler is only on call from 4 PM to 8 PM.
After 8 PM, the traveler is no longer on call and will not be called in. Experience in adult critical care is essential. Skills required include aerosol setup, intubation assistance, and the interpretation of arterial blood gases. Candidates should be proficient with various respiratory therapies and emergency procedures. The role may require floating to other units based on census needs.
Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have been documented.
