Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical-Telemetry – South Carolina

Schedule: 3x12 Day shifts, every other weekend (subject to unit needs), 36-bed unit with daily census of 23 patients
Highlights:
- Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities serving adult patients with orthopedic, general surgery, and urology surgical needs
- Patient ratio of 1:5 for optimal care delivery
- Epic documentation system with Omnicell medication management
- 24 hours of orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services
- Floating required based on unit census needs; must demonstrate competency in MS/Telemetry and pass EKG exam
- Pre-assignment modules are billable up to 16 hours
Requirements:
- Active South Carolina RN license
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical-Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, feeding tube care, IV therapy, insulin and heparin administration, wound care, and tracheostomy care
- Ability to pass EKG examination and complete core competencies
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Must reside 100+ miles from facility (exceptions may apply for certain specialties)
