Job Description  As a Security Officer
- Access Control
- Part Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more.
As an Access Control Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to residents and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in all interactions.

Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for the residential location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance needs, or unusual observations according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
South Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
