What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and report irregular access activity to site leadership and/or the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting emergency response activities and established post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
- Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and public contacts regarding restricted areas, check-in requirements, and other security-related rules while documenting incidents and daily activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
