** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.

+ Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization; documenting visitor entry and exit; issuing visitor passes; and directing individuals in accordance with site procedures.

+ Monitor entry points, access-control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
