Job Summary
CR Jackson is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician. This is a unique opportunity to receive hands-on training and build a career in equipment maintenance. If you are self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and a strong mechanical aptitude, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Receive comprehensive on-the-job training in heavy equipment preventative maintenance.
• Perform inspections, adjustments, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Follow maintenance schedules, conduct routine checks, and proactively address issues to reduce downtime.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment (CDL required, tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Work in coordination with team members while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, or willingness to obtain (clean MVR required).
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities.
• Technical certifications a plus.

Physical Demands

• Regular standing, walking, bending, and kneeling on job sites.
• Ability to climb safely in and out of equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, wet, noisy).
• Ability to work around live traffic and on uneven jobsite surfaces.
• Extended sitting periods when operating or driving equipment.
