2nd Wind Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician to deliver reliable, customer-focused heating and cooling service in local homes. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, perform tune-ups and safety checks, and install or replace components like thermostats and condensers. You'll use your technical skills and craftsmanship to solve comfort issues, explain options clearly to homeowners, and ensure systems run safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems on-site
  • Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and safety checks on HVAC equipment
  • Install or replace residential HVAC components such as condensers, furnaces, and thermostats
  • Verify system performance, airflow, and refrigerant levels using diagnostic tools
  • Communicate findings, options, and recommendations clearly to homeowners
  • Provide accurate estimates and document work performed in service software or paperwork
  • Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards on every job
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, working order
  • Collaborate with dispatch and team members to manage daily service schedule
  • Represent the company professionally and support a customer-first culture
