Discipline Clerk

Job Overview

Enter student discipline incidents and updates in student management software. Works with the attendance/truancy office regarding truant students and students with excessive tardies.

• Notify and keep appropriate faculty and the attendance office up to date on the status of students in ISS.
• Performs all clerical duties related to discipline.
• Must be able to handle and react to potential volatile situations and take appropriate action.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality with student and staff information.
• Must be courteous, professional, and respectful when communicating with parents.
• Works with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with others, and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Refer behavior problems to Assistant Principal.
• Other duties as assigned by the school Principal or Assistant Principal.

• Provide supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom.
• Monitor test, computer work, and provide instructional assistance as appropriate.
• Ensure students have security escorts to facilities outside the ISS classroom.
• Email teachers, in the time frame set by the school, for work requests and complete student work completion logs for all students assigned to the room.
• Facilitate and arrange delivery of student lunches when necessary.
• Review in-school suspension policies, procedures, and student expectations with students daily.
