JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Technology and Architecture is responsible for strategic leadership within the scope of healthcare technology architecture and platforms. Ensuring that clinical, operational, and administrative systems are secure, interoperable, and aligned with patient care objectives. This role bridges healthcare business needs with technology implementation, guiding architecture decisions that support electronic health records (EHRs), clinical workflows, data analytics, and regulatory compliance.

The position partners closely with clinical leadership, Information Technology leadership and teams, and vendors to deliver reliable, scalable, and compliant healthcare technology solutions.

KEY

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Define and maintain enterprise IT solution architecture standards that support clinical care application delivery, Infrastructure health, revenue cycle, and operational efficiency

2. Provide architectural leadership for EHR platforms and related clinical systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with clinician workflows.

3. Guide leadership within Interoperability and Integration architecture decisions related to healthcare interoperability, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and integration engines to support data exchange with internal and external partners.

4. Ensure technology architectures comply with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, data retention, and privacy requirements.

5. Establish, and be a driving influence, surrounding architecture governance processes. Ensuring consistency, security, and scalability across all healthcare applications and infrastructure.

6. Lead modernization efforts for legacy healthcare systems and guide adoption of cloud, data platforms, and digital health technologies while minimizing clinical risk.

7. Partner with information security teams to ensure architectures support strong cybersecurity controls, patient data protection, and resilience against outages (High Availability).

8. Evaluate healthcare technology vendors and platforms, including clinical applications, middleware, and data solutions, to ensure architectural fit and long-term value. Create confidence vendor partners can scale to future needs.

9. Develop multi-year technology and architecture roadmaps that prioritize patient care, regulatory mandates, and organizational strategy.

10. Collaborate closely with clinicians, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders to meet desired technology efficiency
