ABOUT THE UNIT:

At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), our Mother-Baby department is dedicated to providing family-centered care during the postpartum period. We are a 25-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5/6:1. We encourage “rooming-in,” where infants remain in the mother’s room 24 hours a day, and partners are welcome to stay overnight to participate in baby care. This approach allows new parents to ask questions and receive hands‑on education from our staff.

Our team includes board‑certified obstetricians, pediatricians and registered nurses certified in neonatal resuscitation. Many of our nurses hold additional certifications in maternal and neonatal care. We strongly support breastfeeding and offer assistance from board‑certified lactation consultants. Our security measures and monitoring systems are designed to ensure a family’s baby’s safety, with maternity staff easily identifiable by special identification badges.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse Tennessee Required

2 Years Med‑Surg Nursing Experience for Float Pool Positions Required

1 Year Nursing Experience for PRN Positions Required

Associate's Nursing Preferred

1 Year Nursing Experience for FT Positions Preferred
