Asphalt Roller Operator

Location:

Columbia, TN (Southern Middle Tennessee Division)

• Full‑Time
• Day shift (some night work required)
• Wages starting at $23.00/hr

• Inspect, clean, maintain equipment and report malfunctions to Supervisor/Foreman.
• Monitor asphalt temperatures and vibration usage for proper breakdown and finish rolling.
• Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• Participate as a vital team member and contribute to the success of the organization, including other technical and administrative support as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
• CDL license preferred, but not required.
