Job Title:
Asphalt Roller Operator
Location:
Columbia, TN (Southern Middle Tennessee Division)
- Full‑Time
- Day shift (some night work required)
- Wages starting at $23.00/hr
- Inspect, clean, maintain equipment and report malfunctions to Supervisor/Foreman.
- Monitor asphalt temperatures and vibration usage for proper breakdown and finish rolling.
- Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Participate as a vital team member and contribute to the success of the organization, including other technical and administrative support as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- CDL license preferred, but not required.
