This role involves working as a concrete form carpenter responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures used to form concrete for building projects. You will build and assemble concrete forms using hand and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and quality workmanship to support large structural concrete pours. Reliability, dependability, and consistent transportation to the job site are essential for success in this position.

Construct, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures used as concrete forms for building structures.

Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using tools such as rulers, pencils, chalk, and marking gauges.

Shape or cut materials to precise measurements and assemble boards, timber, or plywood to the required size while building wooden forms in the shape of the structure.

Secure forms using nails, bolts, screws, or anchor rods, utilizing appropriate hand tools, machines, or power saws.

Study and interpret specifications from blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layouts and determine dimensions, shapes, designs, and required materials.

Follow established safety rules and regulations at all times and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of wooden structures and repair or replace them using hand tools.

Use carpentry tools such as hand saws, electric saws, drills, and other equipment to build and adjust forms as needed.

Check that work is level, plumb, and square to ensure structural integrity and quality.

Participate in the full concrete forming cycle, including building Symon forms, supporting concrete pours, allowing the wall to harden, stripping forms, and resetting forms for subsequent pours.

Support continuous production of concrete retaining wall sections, completing multiple segments as part of a large-scale project.

Plan the sequence of work effectively to meet project timelines and maintain steady progress on the retaining wall construction.

Experience in concrete form carpentry and concrete work, including constructing and working with concrete forms.

Knowledge of commercial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.

Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to perform accurate material estimates and measurements.

Proficiency with carpentry tools, including hand saws, electric saws, drills, and other hand and power tools.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure work is level, plumb, and square.

Ability to follow established safety rules and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Dependable work habits and reliable transportation to the construction site.

High school diploma or GED.

1–5 years of relevant construction or carpentry experience.

Hands-on experience with Symon Forms or similar concrete forming systems.

Experience in concrete pours, concrete finishing, and general concrete construction.

Organizational skills to plan the sequence of work and coordinate tasks efficiently.

Ability to work effectively on commercial construction sites and within a team environment.

Capability to handle repetitive form-building and stripping cycles over the duration of a large project.

You will work a steady day shift from Monday to Friday, supporting a predictable schedule and work-life balance.
