CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver in Columbia, TN. This position requires a valid Class A CDL and includes local produce deliveries, cross‑dock operations, and client‑facing customer service during early morning shifts. Base pay plus incentives and paid benefits are provided.

• Provide technical expertise, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from the trailer by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72" to stack or unstack pallets and hand carts, and constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from the trailer.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Contact management for authorization when discrepancies occur on invoices.
• Communicate all errors and returns.
• Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handle any customer complaints professionally.
• Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform a pre‑trip inspection.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and Sysco policies and procedures.

• 21+ years of age.
• Must submit to a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Touch freight—may need to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40–60 pounds and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.

• 1 year of customer delivery experience.
• 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience.
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience.
• 2 years of consistent work history.
