Data Center Smart Hands Technician
We are seeking a reliable Data Center Smart Hands Technician to support daily operations within a data center environment. This position involves hardware support, cabling, equipment inspections, and assisting customer and remote engineering teams with troubleshooting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rack-and-stack activities for servers, switches, PDUs, and related equipment.
- Conduct physical inspections of server racks, cooling systems, power infrastructure, and network equipment.
- Handle cabling tasks including fiber patching, cable tracing, and label verification.
- Assist remote engineering teams during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Escort vendors, contractors, and customers when required.
- Support inventory tracking, asset audits, and equipment reconciliation.
- Respond to operational alerts and escalations.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and shift notes.
- Support operational readiness and commissioning activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a data center, network operations, or infrastructure support environment.
- Ability to work safely in a mission-critical environment.
- Capacity to lift and move equipment when required.
- Understanding of servers, network switches, fiber and copper cabling, and Linux.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
