Job description:The Operations Manager provides support to the AUSA Chapter President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors. This position serves as the primary point of contact for chapter membership, operations, and administration. Duties include, but are not limited to, attending Fort Benning graduations and events to promote membership, planning chapter events, and administrative support such as coordinating meetings, communications, and facilitating day-to-day operations.

Membership Support
- Assist with membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate membership databases and contact lists.
- Coordinate welcome communications for new members.
- Respond to member inquiries and provide customer service.
- Meet monthly recruitment goals established by the chapter Board of Directors.
- Assist in planning and executing chapter meetings, networking events, professional development programs, golf tournaments, scholarship events, military ceremonies, and community outreach activities.
- Coordinate with the cities for general membership lunches and breakfast. Assisting with logistics, registrations, coordinating Soldiers attendance, and event materials.
- Create announcement flyers for general membership meetings posted on Facebook and sent out to the entire membership. Track RSVPs and prepare attendee lists.
- Provide administrative support to the Chapter President and Executive Committee.
- Manage chapter correspondence, email, telephone inquiries, and general communications.
- Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute meeting materials.
- Maintain chapter records, files, bylaws, policies, and historical documents.
- Maintain calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics.
- Order supplies and marketing material from National.
- Submit Chapter Activity Reports (CAR) and other documents to National.
- Community outreach and mass media communications
- Maintains social media presence across all platforms
- Updates recent events, photographs, and storyboards in support of Soldiers, Army Civilians, Retirees and their families
- Creates announcements for upcoming events, meetings, community engagements, etc.
- Manages themes and messaging aligned with the chapter and AUSA National goals
- High school diploma
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Clear drug and background check
Qualifications:
- Recruiting, project management, marketing, or administrative assistant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field (preferred)
- Military experience on Fort Benning (6+ years preferred)
- Length of AUSA membership
