Position Overview
Employee Health & Benefits Client Manager at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals. The role requires traveling within driving distance of the Columbus, GA office, with a commitment to commute to the office five days per week.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong client relationships as primary point of contact for all health and benefits inquiries.
- Oversee implementation and administration of employee health and benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with clients to assess needs and develop tailored benefits solutions aligned with organizational goals and budget.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA.
- Prepare and present reports on benefits utilization, claims trends, and program effectiveness to clients.
- Coordinate vendor management: negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
- Lead open enrollment processes, including communication strategies, employee education, and enrollment logistics.
- Provide training and support to clients and employees on benefits programs and best practices.
- Address and resolve client issues related to claims, plan administration, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, underwriting, compliance) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist with account servicing, including renewals and maintenance of customer files.
- Create communication materials such as Benefit Enrollment Guides and coordinate enrollment meetings.
- Review Summary Plan Documents (SPDs) and agreements/contracts for accuracy.
- Verify enrollment application accuracy, transmit to carriers, and assist with policy changes, claim forms, and cancellations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or account management, ideally in a brokerage or agency environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and benefits regulations and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
