- 7–10 years of Business Analysis experience within mainframe-based environments
- Core Mainframe technology expertise: COBOL, JCL, and Mainframe utilities
- Comprehensive understanding of SDLC concepts, requirement elicitation, and process modeling
- Experience with payment processing, card services, or fintech operations
- Familiarity with backlog refinement tools (JIRA, Azure Dev Ops) and Agile/Waterfall hybrid methodologies
- Knowledge of root cause analysis frameworks, UAT coordination, and data compliance standards
Operating within the Core Systems Modernization team at the Riverfront Campus, this role supports mainframe-based business operations, process optimization, and functional requirement delivery. Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst / Delivery Manager, the Technical Business Analyst will translate complex business needs into precise technical specifications, bridging the gap between legacy Mainframe systems (COBOL/JCL) and modern business workflows.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze current mainframe business processes, identify operational gaps and modernization opportunities, and translate business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
- Collaborate daily with business, operations, development, and QA teams to validate technical solutions, perform impact analyses, and ensure alignment with business and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate defect resolution, and perform root cause analysis for operational and system processing anomalies.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint prioritization, reporting, and comprehensive documentation to ensure seamless execution across the SDLC.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and champion continuous process improvement while ensuring full compliance with internal controls and data protection standards.
