Construction Project Manager, Facilities & Services

What You Will Do
  • Manage facility projects, both renovation and new construction, to support Pratt and Whitney’s Capital Improvement Program from initiation through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop conceptual plans and budgets for facilities projects to support fiscal decision‑making and coordinate with proponent groups and committees to facilitate rational facility planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • On design/build projects, support major project design decisions in conjunction with Business Unit Lead and Project Engineering Lead and develop planning documents to gain approval from PW management.
  • Prepare requests for proposals and conduct required meetings to facilitate hiring construction services; review plans and specifications for compliance with building codes and project requirements.
  • Oversee the Project Engineering Firm to schedule project meetings, prepare and distribute minutes, track action items, and follow up with the project team as necessary.
  • Coordinate all parties involved in planning, design, and construction, assign tasks, provide guidance, develop and maintain facility project budgets, conduct pre‑construction meetings, review bids, and recommend award of purchase orders.
  • Execute submittal process for all design and construction submittals, perform field reviews, review contractor invoices, and lead project walks and closeout reviews.
Qualifications – You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 or more years of experience in an industrial construction environment, or Master’s degree and 5 or more years in an industrial construction environment.
  • Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes, building codes, standards of practice, construction materials and methods.
  • Understanding of cost status of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Role Type

Onsite:
Employees in this role will work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance workers essential to engine development. Commuting to and from the assigned site is personal responsibility.

Salary Range

$107,500 USD - $204,500 USD. This range reflects a good faith estimate and is based on experience, function, location, education, training and key skills.
