About the role Fullcircle is seeking a talented Custom Art Framer / Framing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. As a Framing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the presentation of artwork through custom framing solutions.
Your expertise will not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal of our clients' pieces but also ensure their preservation and protection.

- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their framing needs and preferences, providing tailored recommendations based on their artwork and space.
- Measure and cut framing materials with precision, ensuring that each piece is crafted to the highest standards.
- Select appropriate matting, glass, and frame styles that complement the artwork while considering factors such as color, texture, and design.
- Assemble frames, including mounting artwork securely and ensuring that all components fit seamlessly together.
- Maintain an organized workspace, keeping tools and materials in order to promote efficiency and safety.
- Conduct quality checks on completed frames to ensure they meet Fullcircle's standards for craftsmanship and durability.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in framing techniques and materials, incorporating new ideas into your work to enhance the customer experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns clients may have throughout the framing process.
- Assist in managing inventory of framing supplies, ensuring that materials are stocked and readily available for projects.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Handle special projects as assigned, which may include custom requests or unique framing challenges.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with fellow staff members and supporting each other in achieving common goals.
- Proven experience in custom framing or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in using framing tools and equipment, including mat cutters, saws, and assembly tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of art preservation techniques and materials is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
- A passion for art and design, with an understanding of various artistic styles and framing aesthetics.
- Experience in retail or customer service settings, particularly in art-related industries.
- Familiarity with design software or tools that can assist in visualizing framing options for clients.
- Previous experience in sales or upselling framing services and products.
Knowledge of different types of artwork and their specific framing requirements. - Certification or training in art conservation or preservation techniques.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools specific to framing.
- Familiarity with various types of glass, matting, and framing materials.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and client communication.
