The Opportunity:
  • We are excited to expand our interventional services within our thriving South Georgia communities and are seeking a patient-centered and specialized Interventional Cardiologist to join our team.
  • This pivotal role will primarily operate within our local Columbus clinic and affiliated hospitals, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology services, including a variety of coronary and structural procedures and interventions, within both clinic and hospital settings.
Perform general cardiology services, including but not limited to:
  • Echocardiography (Echo) interpretations Nuclear cardiology interpretations Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Cardiac consultations and follow-up care Evaluate and manage conditions of the heart, arteries, and veins.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of six cardiologists and nine advanced practice providers to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities with other physicians and APP staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Adhere to all medical and ethical standards.
Preferred Responsibilities (Based on experience and comfort level):
  • Perform peripheral vein interventions and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a US Accredited program.
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program.
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program.
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in the State of Georgia (or eligible for licensure).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography.
  • Prior training and experience in peripheral interventions.
