Job Summary
The Department of Society, Culture, and Languages at Columbus State University invites applications for a part-time Lecturer of Sociology.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Sociology. A normal teaching load is 6 hours per semester.
The successful candidate will be able to foster an environment of professionalism and collaboration; work in continuous improvement of Sociology programs; demonstrate exceptional ability to function as part of a team with university faculty; and engage in practices that support the University's focus on student engagement and active learning.
Required Qualifications
* Candidates must have a at least 18 hours of graduate work in Sociology by time of appointment.
* Candidates must have a Master's degree by time of appointment.
* A master's degree in Sociology and the ability to teach in-person classes is preferred.
* The field of specialization is open for this position.
