Positions Available: 2 Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs)

Dates: August 1, 2024 - May 23, 2025 (For the 24/25 school year)

Requirements:

• Onsite district fingerprinting required.
• Valid Georgia license issued by GaPSC.
• Must hold a valid certificate through RID or have a passing EIPA score of 3.5 or higher within the past five years.

Position #1:

Location: Cartersville, GA

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, full school day)

Caseload:

• 1:1 with an elementary student with intellectual disabilities in a special education class.
• The student is wheelchair-bound and sleeps a lot.
• There are two other SLIs working at this school.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to work 1:1 with an elementary student with intellectual disabilities. This full-time role involves providing sign language interpretation throughout the school day in a special education setting.

Position #2:

Location: Cartersville, GA

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, full school day)

Caseload:

• 1:1 with an elementary student in a self-contained behavioral classroom.
• The classroom has several aggressive behaviors, including punching and throwing chairs.
• There is one other SLI present in the classroom.

Job Summary: We are hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 support for an elementary student in a self-contained behavioral classroom. This position involves managing and interpreting in a challenging behavioral environment, with a focus on supporting the student's munication needs.
