- Reports To: Director of School and District Effectiveness
The job of the Instructional Effectiveness Specialist is done for the purpose/s of leading and supporting academic coaches, strengthening instructional practices, facilitating continuous school improvement, and ensuring equitable academic success for all student subgroups through coaching, professional learning, data-driven decision-making, and instructional leadership. This job reports to the Director of School and District Effectiveness.
RequirementsConsiderable teaching, instructional coaching, and leadership experience as well as extensive knowledge of professional learning, instructional improvement, and school effectiveness practices. Experience leading academic coaches and supporting school improvement initiatives preferred.

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Requires effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge is required to perform basic math; read a variety of manuals, reports, and educational documents; prepare presentations and professional materials; and solve practical instructional and organizational problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: instructional best practices, differentiated instruction, culturally responsive teaching, language acquisition strategies, professional learning theory, instructional coaching models, school improvement processes, curriculum and assessment practices, and data-driven decision-making practices.
