Position Title: Teacher, Marketing FLSA: Exempt
Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule Work Days: 190
Location: To Be Announced Reports To: Principal
Primary FunctionDeveloping students' academics (e.g., reading, math, writing, etc.) and marketing skills knowledge in the foundational and functional areas such as economics, human relations, product and service planning, selling and promotion, risk management and distribution by implementing state and district approved curriculum, documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling necessary skills to perform assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment;
and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
- Educational Level: Bachelor Degree in a job-related field.
- Certification/License:
Valid Georgia Teacher certification or eligibility for GA certification in Marketing Education. - Experience:

Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to learners; student management.
- Advise parents and/or legal guardians of student progress.
- Adhere to local school procedures and regulations in a supportive manner; demonstrate loyalty to the school and its leadership; avoid behaviors that detract from staff morale; work cooperatively with colleagues and the community; promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning; help maintain a positive and cooperative climate.
- Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and various community agencies.
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
- Demonstrate methods required to perform assignments to provide effective school program and address needs of individual students.
- Provide co-curricular CTAE Student Organization experiences to students in the CTAE program.
- Exhibit professionalism in all job-related situations; follow professional ethics in all work-related activities.
- Provide instruction that is appropriate; communicate responsibly with all individuals and groups; assume a fair share of outside-the-classroom school responsibilities; maintain plans according to policies and/or directives; promote the responsible use of materials and equipment; submit accurate paperwork on schedule; prepare adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent.
- Account for student attendance and punctuality; direct the conduct of students in accordance with policies at all times; take all reasonable measures to protect students’ health and safety.
- Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures.
- Meet certification and accreditation standards.
- Seek to improve through professional development and evaluation activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
