Job SummaryAssistant Professor of Sociology – full‑time, tenure‑track position.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Sociology.
- Maintain an active scholarly program.
- Serve the department, college, and university through teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Sociology programs.
- Foster an environment of professionalism, collaboration, student engagement, and active learning.
- Carry out a normal teaching load of 12 hours per semester.
- Doctorate in Sociology.
- ABDs may apply but must have the degree in hand by the time of appointment.
All selected candidates are required to pass a background investigation, including reference checks and verification of academic credentials. Additional checks such as credit or drug screening may apply for specific duties.
