The job of Instructional Support Paraprofessional is to assist students under the direction of a professional educator and provide instructional support by reinforcing the teacher’s instruction in the classroom.

• Educational Level: Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours of eligible college hours or passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test (). If submitting GACE scores, also provide verification of completion of a HS diploma or GED.
• Certification/License: Must maintain a Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate that includes in‑service training related to the position.

  Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management.

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Conducts small group or individual classroom activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Assists with supervision of students.
• Assists with student assessment, grading work, tests, and collecting data on student progress.
• Assists with routine record keeping.
• Assists with the preparation of materials for instruction.
• Locates, operates, and returns equipment required for classroom activities.
• Assists with classroom housekeeping.
• Assists in the ordering and inventory of classroom equipment and materials.
• Assists with school‑wide supervision, such as loading/unloading buses.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
