Branch Services Assistant - Columbus Public Library

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Library Assistant I - Branch Services for the Columbus Public Library and 24-Hour Libraries. This is a 40 hour per week position. This position will serve as the primary service staff for stocking, maintaining, and troubleshooting CVL's 24-Hour Libraries. This person will divide their time between 24-Hour Libraries and working in the Circulation Department of the Columbus Public Library.

• Stock, maintain, and troubleshoot CVL's 24-Hour Libraries collections and operations.
• Collaborate with CVL departments and Envisionware to support 24-Hour Libraries functions.
• Perform circulation duties in the Columbus Public Library’s Circulation Department.
• Work nights and weekends in rotation as needed.

• High School diploma or GED.
• High energy and a pleasing disposition.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility and versatility.
• Strong technology skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience working with LS2 ILS preferred.
• Good judgment.
• Safe driving skills, including knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills with supervisors, staff, and the public.
• Availability to report to any branch in the system.

Salary: $30,604 per year.
