• Assist teaching personnel in supervision and instruction of students with special needs.
• Perform classroom clerical tasks and data collection.
• Provide special health care support such as feeding, toileting, diapering, and medication for medically fragile students.
• Assist with student movement, positioning, and therapy as directed by service personnel.
• Participate in school functions, field trips, extracurricular activities, and on‑going in‑service training.
• Perform hall duty, bus loading/unloading, and other support tasks as directed.
• Maintain a sanitary environment and handle body fluids following universal procedures.
• Provide community‑based instruction or skills training per state guidelines when appropriate.
• Monitor classrooms during teacher’s participation in IEP meetings or other planning activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the administrator.

• Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours of eligible college credit or passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test.
• Verification of completion of a high school diploma or GED.
• Maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate with in‑service training related to the position.
• Physical requirement: ability to lift a student up to 50 lbs and perform a two‑person lift for students over 50 lbs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Instructional strategies that connect curriculum to learners.
• Student management skills.
