Columbus Public Library, Chattahoochee Valley Libraries (CVL)

Hours:

19 hours per week; nights and weekends required.

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries (CVL) seeks a qualified applicant for the Part‑Time Library Associate position in the Children’s Outreach Department at the Columbus Public Library.

• Provide engaging, age-appropriate programming and services to young children and families in this diverse community.
• Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of library programs for children and families.
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
• Ensure responsible, dependable service, providing excellent customer service and strong technology support.

• Passion, enthusiasm and commitment to serving children, families and caregivers.
• Extensive knowledge of children’s literature and a thorough understanding of child development.
• Excellent problem‑solving, flexibility and versatility.
• Strong technology skills and fantastic customer service skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Salary: $19.62 per hour.
