Job SummaryThe Department of English at Columbus Stale University is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the position of Full‑time Lecturer in English. This is a full‑time position with a 10‑month renewable contract and a teaching load of five courses per semester in the Department of English in the College of Letters and Sciences. The successful applicant will teach courses in the First‑Year Composition sequence, serve on the First‑Year Composition Committee, and contribute to as well as receive regular Professional Development in pedagogy and college writing instruction.

- Teach courses in First‑Year Composition or other subjects in‑person and online according to departmental needs.
- Serve on the First‑Year Composition Committee.
- Participate in Professional Development in college writing instruction and pedagogy.
- Master of Arts in English or a closely related field.
- Record of effective university teaching, with experience teaching first‑year composition courses.
- Teaching experience in English Composition theories and pedagogies.
- Training or experience in basic writing instruction; and/or experience in multimodal composing and teaching writing with digital technologies.
The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $47,000 - $55,000 and includes full benefits.
