Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Associate Professor or Professor of Social Work and Master''s in Social Work Program Director (MSW) in the Department of Social Work and Human Services with a preferred start date of January 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership; ensure accreditation compliance; oversee graduate curriculum and assessment; support faculty and students; and represent the program internally and externally.
• Teach across a CSWE-accredited MSW program to include research, methods, and special topics.
• Department, College, University, and/or professional community service is expected. The desired candidate will serve as Chair of the Graduate Academic and Assessment Program Committee.
• Maintain a record of scholarship in their established field of research consistent with rank.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• An earned PH.D./DSW/Ed.D degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Social Work or a related discipline, is required at the time of hire.
• Prior experience as an MSW or BSW Program Director or Associate Director
• Demonstrated experience with CSWE accreditation standards, assessment, and compliance.
• MSW from a CSWE-accredited institution
• 5 years minimum in the Teaching Discipline of Social Work in a CSWE-accredited program.
• State Licensure in Social Work (LMSW) with the ability to transfer to Georgia in one year.
• 2 years minimum clinical/direct practice experience in the field
