Commercial HVAC Estimator
Location: Georgia Pay: $80,000 – $120,000 DOE Reports to: Preconstruction/Estimating Leadership
We are seeking a results-oriented Commercial HVAC Estimator with progressive estimating experience in mechanical construction. Join a contractor with 20+ years delivering HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, controls, sheet metal, and full lifecycle mechanical services for commercial, healthcare, industrial, hospitality and institutional clients.
What You Will Do- Lead quantity takeoffs, detailed cost builds, and line-item assemblies for commercial HVAC and mechanical scopes
- Review plans/specs for ductwork, piping, equipment, controls, insulating, and balancing scopes
- Prepare complete bid packages for new construction and remodel contracts ($100K–$4M+)
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Identify value-engineering opportunities while protecting margin
- Work with leadership to refine pricing assumptions and model historical data
- 3–5+ years commercial HVAC estimating experience
- Proficiency reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical details
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, chillers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV/controls, and piping systems
- Strong analytical skills, organized documentation, and estimating software literacy
- Coachable, detail-oriented, team-focused
- Full-service mechanical workload with deeper scope than pure HVAC reps
