Overview
Client is looking for an entry-level NC Programmer with a mechanical engineering background who can support machining operations by developing and verifying numerical control programs.
EducationEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience Level: Entry-level — someone starting out in NC programming but with foundational knowledge of machining and CAD/CAM tools.
Core Responsibilities- Analyze engineering drawings and electronic models to determine machining methods.
- Collaborate with planners, tool designers, engineers, and customers to finalize manufacturing plans.
- Develop cutter motion logic, spindle speeds, and feed rates.
- Verify cutter paths using Vericut.
- Create operator setup sheets and Catia 2D tool drawings.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with machining methods (milling, lathes).
- Drafting, math, and geometry skills.
- Basic knowledge of Catia.
- Technical writing and computer proficiency.
