Position: Mechanical Designer / SolidWorks Engineer

Our client headquartered in Hart County, Georgia is seeking a Solid Works Design Engineer This is not just a traditional product development role. You will own customer submittals, production drawings, manufacturing documentation, and engineering project files while working closely with customers and production.

The applicant must possess a deep understanding of CAD principles and documentation ownership. This role will include associated tasks in production drawings, reverse engineering, possible technical publication and manual writing responsibilities.

You must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Responsibilities
  • Creation of precise Solid Works 3D & 2D Drawing data for manufactured products.
  • Drive efficiencies in Solid Works CAD configurations, design-table automation, CAD libraries and documentation processes.
  • Work with leadership, project managers and technical teams to deliver high-quality deliverables.
  • Deliver and present documentation and designs as required, capture requirements and use cases as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree, in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience designing with Sheet metal / Weldments for hollow-steel part fabrication and production.
  • Demonstrated expert experience with Solid Works CAD for production.
  • Experience with Solid Works PDM, as administrator, or as end-user.
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify problems, and think creatively to solve challenges.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate in a fast paced, technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility.
  • Experience guiding and helping to train design teams in process and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Solid Works Associate / Professional in Mechanical Design (CSWA/CSWP).
Location
  • Onsite role in Hart County, Georgia.
  • Monday through Thursday 7 am to 5:30 pm ESt
